Dog with very soft, mucus covered poop
My puggle has recently started to have very soft (not really diarrhea) poop covered with mucus. We haven't changed his food and can't think of anything that could be causing it. Tonight we took him out, he went #2 then we put him in his kennel to to to the grocery store and when we got back an hour later he had gone in the kennel (which never happens). Could there be something going on?

Sounds like there's definitely something going on. At the very least, you should take a fecal sample in for analysis at the vet's. If it's something like campylobacter, the longer you wait, the sicker your dog could get.
Good luck with your dog! Please let us know what the vet finds...

Excess mucous in the stool is always a sign of inflammation in the body. Would be a good idea to take your dog to the vet for a check up, though likely it will pass.
