Missing cat, VERDUN

LINK IS MISSING!!!! PLEASE HELP

Missing, 25-26th November 2010,

Male cat, neutered, 2 1/2 years old, orange tabby.

Answers to his name LINK.

Missing from the alley between 4th and 5th avenue, between Verdun and Wellington.

His left ear is thorn vertically.

He is very friendly and rolls over to be petted, even with strangers.

Link is mine since 2 years, he comes in the house to eat morning and evening, but prefers to live outside.

We love him alot and greatly miss him.

According to some info, Link could have been picked up by an animal shelter.
If you know of any shelters that pick up cats in Verdun, please let me know, so i can contact them.

If you adopted him, we would like to know that he is well and loved.

Call at any time of the day or night, and i will rush to go pick him up.

sandyrives,if he is an indoor/outdoor cat,he's likely not lost,he must know his area.
I am not in Quebec,have no idea about rescues there,but I am sure you can easily find out from the phone-book and please go there and check for yourself.
You have to put out posters with a picture and a way to reach you,maybe someone in the neighbor-hood has him,if he's very friendly.
He is beautiful,I hope you find him
I am not going to preach to you about letting your cat roam the streets,but there is always a chance an outdoor cat,one day will not come home.

If you think he has been picked up by animal control have you gone to the shelter to check to see if he's there? I remember when you posted his pic before. Don't you have quite a few alley kitties living outside? Wasn't he the one that was taken before and someone had him fixed and then brought him back? Sorry, trying to remember. Maybe they saw him still hanging around the same area and figured he would do well in a home environment.
Good luck finding him. Please put out as many feelers as you can.

I called all the organisations i know of in verdun and around, I am told that the city of Verdun has no shelter for animals.

Several well intentionned and kind people called from the posters i put everywhere in my area.

I went running with the pet carrier to 4 different houses,(at the wee hours of the morning and night) who picked up an orange cat... unfortunately, none of them was my boy Link...

I would like to rant about the city of Verdun, a City Inspector called me because of the posters I put up and told me to remove them, otherwise I would get a fine!!!
I simply could not believe it!
Needless to say, the posters are still there to this day.

Its now been 20 days that Link was not seen and didn't come home. We hope with all our hearts that he will be on the back patio one glorious morning!

We still have hope!

As of now, Link is still missing.

I had several more calls from very nice concerned people, and ran to their place with the pet carrier...only to find out they had caught a cat that was not Link.

I always thank them very much for their concern, and ask them to still keep an eye open.
I had several calls over the holidays.
I am happy to see that people are genuinely concerned.

Lets all keep looking for him!
