Frostbitten Ears in Cats?
Anybody had a cat with frost bitten ears? I'm just curious why the stray we took in is so against having her ears touched. Some cats don't like it but she acts almost as if it hurts. No sign of ear mites and when we first got her I asked for flea treatment that would target ear mites too. Her pretty little tortie ears don't look damaged at all but I think I've read that frost bite in humans can make the skin permanently sensitive. All she does is jerk away, no swatting or hissing about it, but it's a pretty strong reaction. We fed her outside all last winter and live trapped her in April and no sign even then of ear damage but think that could be it? Poor little girl.
