Smile Pink Panther Series?

Anybody love it? lol I love slapstick comedy and even though this stuff is pretty predictable at times, it's still done to perfection. The wording of the script couldn't be better, with double entendres and puns, and the timing is great too.

Some are better than others, like the original, the Revenge and A Shot in the Dark, but none are terrible, IMO.

Anybody see any?

my dad owns the collection. I tried confiscating it but it didn't quite work. When he came to visit he brought it and I was hoping he'd forget it at my place, but that too failed.

I can't say i'm a fan of the early movies in which Cluseau's character is going through changes. The best ones are the last 3 movies he did before he died. The Cluseau character is perfectly developed. The accent and stupidity hehe

I can remember seeing many of them, and laughing a lot, but my friend's father used to go on and on, so I have to admit, I haven't put any effort into rewatching them.

Peter Sellers was a great comedic actor, though. Have you seen "The Party"? A comedy that makes me think of the old rhyme "For want of a nail, a shoe was lost....". A perfect example of the snowball effect.

Coincidentally, I bought the original Pink Panther movie just a couple of weeks ago and watched it with the sister in law last weekend . . . . .

I loved this beautiful but obscure actress as Clouseau's wife in the original. She was hilarious:

Next stop . . . . I have to buy the Return of the Pink Panther (1974)

No, Rick, you have to buy the box set! I bought it at Costco a while back. They always played the Pink Panther late at night on CBC and I always stayed up to watch it, so I splurged.

I haven't seen Peter Sellers' other movies yet though...

the pink pantehr box set doesn't have all the pink panther movies in it. They don't have the rights to sell the whole collection. I think 2 are missing
