the problem with microchipping is there are no set standards,i mean,
lets say my vet uses type a brand of chip,the spca uses type b brand of chip,
the chip scanners are not compatable....brand b scanner won't read brand a chip,and the scanners are too expensive so not many vets or shelters will invest in both.
