Sounds like it may be corneal dystrophy (which is usually not very serious). This is similar to the fatty/lipid deposit described in a previous post here. Sometimes it can be controlled by diet, but sometimes, this is a hereditary thing and the lipid levels in the blood are normal. A vet visit is in order.
