I went to the vet this morning. The discoloration within the gum was just food and his gums are healing great; I was very relieved. The vet gave me an irrigation syringe to clear out any food accumulation. The yellow marks on his teeth were caused by him biting on a fence/chain sometime during his early life before we rescued him. The yellow areas will not go away but they're not harmful. It's sad; the rescue owners said he was missing his back teeth from chewing on a chain (the previous owners must have just kept him constantly chained). His extracted tooth was dead and had a very tiny hole that would lead to bacterial colonization and most likely lead to an abscess due to the bacteria that was removed during cleaning. Everything is great now!
