Just so you know, "ordinary" bloodwork doesn't always reveal geriatric Hyper-T. It would help you, I believe, to try and get a handle on why - plus what tests are better for old cats - before you see the Vet, because, in my experience,many Vets are unaware of this and insist that the standard tests are "quite sufficient".
