diarrhea
my 2 1/2 year old Border Collie/shephard-husky cross has had diarrhea since he was a puppy off and on.This is characterized by accidents at home,watery diarrhea and straining to defacate without anything happening(several times a day)occasionally with a little watery discharge.I have changed diet on several occasions on the advice of vets.He has been on medication,special diets and nothing seems to work.Blood and stool samples have turned up negative from the vet.Even when his stool is solid it is not near the texture of most dogs,it is soft but somewhat formed.His stool color ranges from greenish to very dark.He is currently on homemade beef/rice vegetable diet.His accidents at home are a mix of solid stool and watery diarrhea sometimes.This is causing great stress in the family.The good thing is he appears completely healthy.He has a great coat.Drinks lots of water,is very playful/happy and seems to be in good all-around general health.Please help...
