thank for the replies. I do catch him, and I'm not adverse to trying whatever it takes... i'm sure the vet wouldn't touch him and i don't want to risk losing him. The bubbles are losing color today, are they filled with fluid? Can i try to bust them with a sharp razor?

He certainly doesn't look like he's in pain, at least not compared to a mammal, besides hopping i don't see any different in his protective attitude etc.

is it too late to bath it in something to hopefully loosen the skin around where it is tight?
