They did give us pain meds and he's taking it well enough. I keep telling myself that I would feel like crap after a surgery like that - I've just been so worried about him for so long that maybe it's a habit now.
I'm the kind of person who reads the last pages of a book to see how it ends before I get halfway through it - this whole real-life not knowing thing blows.
