We had all hoped for a better outcome but never doubt that you did the right thing. With congestive heart failure his lungs would have continued to fill up with fluid and he would have died a very painful death gasping for his last breath, probably all alone out there somewhere.
Thank you for helping to make it possible for him to be relieved of his suffering before it became too great.
