I have a friend who got a white deaf kitten. She gets his attention by stamping on the floor and by 5 months he's really good at reading her hand signals for various things. The only thing is he meows louder than any of her other cats.
I noticed that old cats when they go deaf get louder too. How can you not keep a cuddly white cat? Go for it!
