5 months? Holy moly. You should get her spayed asap. She could be developing cysts which are bursting. 5 months is VERY young to get a first heat. Spaying a dog reduces the risk for cancer, which cysts can turn into. You may want to get an ultra sound done on her uterus.
There defintely sounds like there is a problem with your girl.

As well, please think twice about breeding. The Shar Pei is another dog who has started to feel the breed specific legislature because of the amount of ill tempered dogs out there. Please let the professional breeders sort out this problem before you go start breeding. The Shar Pei is a delicate breed which is prone to MANY generic defects. If you want to see her mother a bunch of pups, get in touch with your local humane society and see if they need a foster home for some pups abondaned by their mother. Dogs have the ability to produce milk to help suckle them.
