'Rabbit Proof Fence' was written by Doris Pilkington Garimara, the daughter of one of those brave girls, Molly. it was made into a movie, but it is soo sad and hard to watch. the fence is still in existance today but it has never stoped one rabbit yet (the fence the longest in aus, streaches across three states).

it is a true story all the way and such a sad one, heart breaking, the plot of the story or similar is one that has been echoed throughout all indigenous communities in australia and the events are still in todays living memory, ahhh it is a very touchy and hard subject to deal with over here, every indigenous family was affected by those awful laws and practice.

just amazing how brave those little girls were and the power of wanting to just go home.
