Thanks guys, this kitty is one of 3 whose elderly owner was hospitalized in June and died in Sept. A friend of a friend took them to her farm and they had a wonderful summer in the barns and 2 adapted really well from being inside cats (over weight, over fed, very lazy). The orange tabby (7 yrs. old) missed the human companionship so was adopted through a rescue org. to an older woman and her son. He's doing really well and they love him to bits. The other 2 (3 yr. old siblings) were OK until it started to get colder (early Nov.) and the female whose is very shy wasn't coming up to the log bulding to feed as often as her brother. The male is doing great mainly because he's very social and loves some human interaction along with hanging out with the other cats in the barn. The owners of the farm won't let any animals into the house (
) and they are seeling less and less of the little female. I gave them a trap this a.m. and think she'd do better living with me although it will be quite an adjustment for her to get used to 4 little dogs. I do plan on feeding her canned along with the dry Origen - she needs to gain some weight after living on mice and the cheaper dry food.
