Watch out not to scold them for nothing. Most of the geckos where I work don't see water if it's not in movement; we have to mist them twice a day so that they can lick the droplets running down their branches and glass; a water bowl is useless. Unless it's a land gecko (for example, a leopard gecko), then you're right to say so, they require water.
