Sorry to tell you this, but "vet grade" food is about the worst on the planet. Take a look at the ingredients and ask yourself what in there is appropriate for an obligate carnivore. Corn gluten meal? Powdered cellulose (aka sawdust)? Brewer's rice? Come on! Cats need meat, not agriculture waste products.
