Question barking frenzy when the doorbell rings - help!

my 3 year old dog siris is a fairly well behaved girl. she's intelligent, eager to please, and a wee bit stubborn (she's a mutt with some staffordshire terrier in her, so go figure!) all around she's a good girl, but when the doorbell rings she goes into a complete barking frenzy and pretty much tries to jump on whoever is entering our house. this is in a friendly and excited way, as opposed to an aggressive/mean way. while most of our guests think it is cute and funny, no doubt there are some who are not so pleased. she settles down after she's said hello, but how do i get her to sit quietly and remain calm for those first few minutes when a guest comes over, and then go say hello when i say it is ok?
