Ontario often get them from the produce, they hitch hike over! I have seen a few scares on the news how black widows were found in the pototoes, and other produce.
I'm so paranoid now, that I actually pour my potatoes into the sink when I get them home, just to be sure no unwanted bugs are mixed in amoungst them
