Hazel,I think most birds are vulnerable to West Nile,I don't know for sure..our area was hit really bad one year,Crows,Chickadees,Blue Jays,Housefinches were just gone.:sad:

I know our housefinches had an eye disease. I could see them on the feeder and their eyes looked crusted over.

I know there are other links to pelee island birding, which is some of the best birding around, and lots of different offers from various birding outfits. Well worth the time if you decide to take the drive. My sister goes every year and stays for three or four days, I will ask her who runs the show on the tour that she takes.
