I had a cat, Tiger, many moons ago who broke one of her back legs when she fell off of our neighbour's fence. They put a florescent orange cast on her, and we kept her confined in a cage. She didn't like it, but I'll let you know that she fully recovered and was back to her old sassy self in no time.

To make things a little easier for her we would sit with her next to the cage and speak soothingly to her. We gave her treats and just tried to do what we could to make her comfortable - she was a cuddle freak, so we did our best to pet her until finally she had had enough!

She'll probably get used to the crate after awhile - Tiger did, and she was an outdoor roamer. I agree that you might need a cone if she's biting off her cast.

Good luck, and keep us posted!
