Nope, a cruel and unusual punishment is to put her outside to fend for herself! My foster mommas are kept in a room with their kittens 24/7 because I can't let them out due to my cats. They were all just happy to have food and warmth and no stress. I did provide a cat tree in the room to get away from the kittens once they start exploring outside the kitten box.
