What you say about people who cant afford a $1000 vet visit that they shouldnt own a dog is truly mean. What about people who cant afford health care but have a kid, are you saying they shouldnt have kids? I dont know about anywhere else but a vet visit here in calgary is not $ 25 for a check up its $80 and to do tests of any kind is about a minimum of $300 anything more technical is over $1000. So when you say when should you take your animal to the vet, for some people is when its absolutely necessary kind of like people without health care insurance, if you dont have coverage you dont go in for something like a cold right? The same goes with a animal we take it when it needs to not just because, unless you have lots of money, but most people dont even see the doctor once a year unless their sick so why should you take your animal once a year.
