That is such a tough call... Lots of ppl I know fret over money issues and paying bills, but are you really ready to take a new job, JUST for that reason?
Make a list of pros and cons about both.. sounds silly but it could really help when you're going crazy thinking about it.
As for the surgery, isn't there some program that he could at least be reimbursed? I mean, it is to work for them, they should pay for it. But I guess that's a whole other thread.
