I am so glad that the MSPCA does infact consult with rescues to give us an opportunity to save the animals that do not make it through the temperment testing and/or medical evaluation. There has been tremendous changes in that aspect. For this I am grateful. No longer are animals destroyed due to the lack of space either. Where there is a will..there is a way.
There are also other SPCA's here in Quebec that work together and equally work with rescue groups or represenatives to find alternatives.
Collectively we are able to save and place many dogs and cats.
But truly - collectively all shelters, rescues and pounds (which are not on board) could do better. If only we would unit and work on the foundation that is common to all....the animals and their welfare.
