Low phosphorus diet for dog with renal failure

Lucy (13 yr old casserole dog) was diagnosed with renal failure. The Vet told me to put her on a low protein diet. After reading all that I could on this website and others, I disagree and would like to find a low phophorus diet instead.

I don't know if I am ready to make all of her food. Is there a readily available dry food that is good for an older dog with renal failure that I can mix with some homemade food? Lucy won't eat alot (she's only 16 lbs.) but her larger, but younger soulmate needs enough food to make it preparing it a challenge. If Lucy has "special" food Sophie thinks she should too.

I've read mumumum's post with Dr. Pitcairn's diet and would like to know if others have had sucess with their pups.

thanks ---- I really appreciate any feedback --- I know I'm not alone in dealing with Lucy's problem but I could use some help!
