Whatever the reason, this is great news. I think the things you initially did, even if right now you aren't keeping them up, must have helped.

Our older dog just turned 15 in November and she is experiencing much hind end weakness like your Connor. Am thinking of starting a thread about it to see if I can get some suggestions to help her. Otherwise she seems like she is healthy overall. It is hard watching her body deteriorate.
