Poor Capser, I have found that cats do grieve like humans.
and like humans, you can't necessarily replace a lost loved one with another.
Just out of curiousity, have you had Casper checked out by a vet?
Yes, Cuddles is much too young to be taken from her momma and litter mates, I think you will find a much "better" Cuddles when you get her back at 12 weeks. She will be disciplined and more polite with your resident kitties, making the intro so much easier
