If your dog was hit hard enough, you could be dealing with a rupture in the eye or a concussion. There's no way for us to tell you how bad the injury is or how to treat it.
Unfortunately, especially given yesterday's lethargy, this isn't something you should try to assess and treat on your own. Is there a family member who can lend you the money to have your dog's eye checked out at the vet? Or will your vet allow payment in installments?
