Are you giving the dog a frozen kong? I used to give my labX a frozen kong and there was always a soaking wet mess when we came home (that being the bedding where she got to eat it). So it could be a combination of stress, or it could be from the kong and excessive chewing on it. It doesn't sound like anything to worry about though, unless the dog is showing obvious signs of distress from anxiety.
