That is the second story I have heard of that exact same thing...except the first was our Gunnar....he escaped last winter and went to a pond a few doors down where new people had just moved in....he went on the pond after the geese and fell thru....The neighbor was watching out his family room window and saw him and ran with rope and managed to get him up on the ice and back to safety...he took him to the vet and they scanned him and called us but the neighbor was kind enough to bring him back home to to us from the vets.
Gunnar...won't go near water....not even in the summer!
Both these dogs could have had a different outcome if someone wasn't watching out the window! I guess there was a guardian angel watching over them both!
