lol, I hear you on that, marsupial momma! I'm at work now, surrounded by over 8000 books and I haven't managed to read enough of them to put a dent in that number yet!
I agree about abandoning a book if it doesn't grip you, though. You should walk away from a book having enjoyed it, and feeling good that you read it, not thinking "Gee, I'm glad I finally finished that one."
I've noticed a number of thrillers/mysteries have a quote on them comparing the book to the Davinci Code.
