On blistering days on the bald butt prairie, with lakes few and far between and the Pacific still 500 miles to the west . . . . this is what passes for "cooling down," walking down the middle of the river, with Abby, a few miles from our house:



In Alberta at least, the middle of the river is public land and if the creek is low enough, you can walk a long way.

Abby at our favourite waterfall on the Sheep River . . . . finding this place isn't easy . . . . listening for the falls then a right off the trail and then some bushwhacking. It's always an adventure trying to find it.
