Re: Colectomy surgeries.

My 13 old cat was diagnosed with megacolon and after a lot of thought I finally decided to have the colectomy surgery done. My vet told me she would have loose stools for 2 weeks following her surgery. Well, it's close to 2 months now and after being on flagyl twice her stools have gone from liquidy-semi formed. She has her good days and her bad days but what concerns me is that she seems to be suffering from "gas" and her stomach makes noises. I also think she has cramps and I noticed grass in her stools which leads me to believe she has an upset stomach. Is this a common thing with post-op colectomy surgeries? I've placed her on Feline ID and also tried Science Diet "Sensitive Stomach." Any suggestions would be helpful.
