Calm assertive energy sounds like what's-his-name on Nat Geo channel, and I know many of you don't like the guy, but at the same time, he's right about that energy thing; as well as exercise to get rid of excess energy and make the dog more receptive to obedience training. Not saying to try the roller blades but a good walk/run should help!
