Hi,
I am setting up my front yard rock garden and am setting aside space for a little patch of ground cover that will withstand my dog urinating on it. I definitely do not want lawn but am looking for suggestions for hardy ground cover that does not grow higher than apx. 2". Someone suggested Irish moss and some have already died since I planted them due to my dog.

I live in California and the area is cover with morning and partial afternoon sun.

Whatever you can recommend would be great.
