The very first dog we adopted in 1975 did all kinds of things, she thrived on attention, anything we taught her she learnt right off the bat. Since then it has been hit and miss, especially with the Bassets'.

On thing we did teach Tina (1st) that came in handy......when we came in from outside she would sit at the door to get wiped down, first all 4 paws, then the face, then her bum....the only glitch we had to do it weather she was wet or dry
