Please don't put anything else into his ears until he's been seen by a vet. Aloe Vera, or anything else may just add to the gunk in there making the problem worse.

Food may very well be causing the problem but, a switch alone, will not clear up an infection he may have been suffering for over two years. I can't imagine the pain/burning/itching he must be experiencing. Duke really needs to see a vet CarolynInPEI. Can you take him asap?
