Thank you for your suggestion; however I am of the mind that Amos would not benefit from an intermediary home, as wonderful as the rescue may be. Part of the reason he needs to be rehomed is due to his intense desire to be around people and rescues are overwhelmed by all of the good work they do. I am not looking simply to be rid of Amos quickly; rather, I am relinquishing him for his own sake. He is welcome to stay at my home indefinitely and eat quality food, get excellent vet care, and play with his "sibling" cats. I simply feel he deserves more when it comes to human affection. I have placed many cats into excellent homes (and a vet clinic!) and Amos is the only one left whom I could part with. I thought perhaps pets. ca would allow for a greater audience.
