Have you any prior experience taking care of an animal? Forgive me, but you don't really sound serious about it since you've not even contacted the authorities about what exotics might be allowed.

If you're serious about this, your best bet is to contact your state's Dept of Natural Resources. Any and all of these animals require specialized care and licenses and various local permits, and most probably can't be sold legally. You'll need to do tons of research--like where will you get the training required to care for the animal's needs and be safe about it. You'll need to have a hefty bank account since purchasing and maintaining exotics is pretty expensive. You'll need to find a vet who can handle the needs of an exotic. You'll need to check federal laws, state laws, and local ordinances. I doubt that any of the animals listed would be okay on a leash and walking in public.

Exotics really aren't a good idea for a pet.
