Bendyfoot, it sort of works the same with cats to a degree.

Cleaning out litter boxes and actually being able to tell which terd might belong to which cat, not easy but hey after a while not so hard.

Sleeping with pebbles of litter on your bed and not even blinking twice about it. Cleaning a dirty putey hole after a particularly soft expulsion.

Cleaning poopey paws when they're kittens and step in their own doo-doo.

I think after a while, we all just shrug and keep going. No big deal, there's always soap to wash it all off.
There are only two rules at my house: House rule #1. Cats rule. House rule #2. See rule #1.
