My dear friend - you did nothing harmful to Karma. You gave her the best gift that there is to give and that was ending her suffering.
I understand how you feel...trust me, I do. What I realize about what you wrote and what I went through recently - we need someone to blame ....and that someone is ourselves. I have been doing some soul searching and I have been supported by some wonderful people here on pets as well as collegues and vets who are supporting me. They are right.
Your tears and sorrow will turn into wonderful and joyful memories. You will heal and in doing so you will realize that you did everything right - ethically and morally.
Let yourself grieve but do not be so harsh on yourself...you did the best you could.
