I have D80 and i love the camera. I have 18-200 Nikkor lense and i love it. I have no issue with big prints and i haven't noticed any noise. I'm guessing it all depends on the settings you're using. I'm not a pro of any type and still learning. To me, i have to play with settings to see what i can get.
I just took few of these pictures. I can't remember which settings i used, they came out pretty nice, i think.
