From the pictures it would appear that you could make a vertical incision and then remove the lipoma. Likely due to the size and location there would have to be a couple of drains placed to minimize hematoma formation. Otherwise the surgery should be fairly straight forward. Note: the incision would be fairly long but since would heal side to side and not end to end, she should do very well. Drains would come out in 3-5 days, and sutures would be removed in 10-14 days. Post operative pain medication for 7-10 days and post operative antibiotics for 10-14. At least, this would be my tentative plan based up on the picture.
