I would also love to see pictures of your pit bull. I have one pit bull (actually, she is MY dog), one boerboel, and two birds. I'm trying to talk my husband into adopting a white deaf boxer right now. I have taught two of our dogs in the past sign language and I'm partial to deaf dogs. My husband is resistant since we just got the boerboel and he is a lot of work right now.

I'm so sorry to hear about the laws up there. We have no such laws here. My pit, Jazz, is such a sweetie. The neighbors love her, but it did take time for them to get to know her. It might just take time and a little education to turn your neighbors around.

I'm relatively new too, but I have enjoyed my time here so far.
