Yes, that fad is still going strong around here. Flower shops are selling the poor little buggers in tiny little vases with HUGE peace lilies (all root, no room for fish)
I do have about 3/4 of an inch of space between the water level and the cup that holds the lily. I have also been looking for a bigger tank for him. I had tried years ago to keep fish, they died ... almost weekly. I kept putting new ones in, testing the water, feeding properly... blah blah blah... no use, they died. I found out later it was the tank I had, the silicone stuff holding it together was contaminating the water on the poor little guys
I didn't know.
