Some good quality canned foods with a novel protein source and simple ingredients are the Innova Evo 95% meat formulas in venison or duck. There's also Nature's Variety Instinct (which has a rabbit flavour if you can find it). By Nature has some good grain-free wet food although none with novel proteins, but these might be an option later on once your kitty's immune system has stabilized. I'd stay away from kibble if you can, it really isn't appropriate for any cat but especially one with allergy issues. Fish flavours are also a common allergen for cats.

What was your little dude eating when he came down with the GI problem?
