Sometimes Douglas will gobble it up, and other times he'll hold his nose up to it and eat at little as possible. The difference is enough that as soon as I open a can I can tell my the smell if he'll like it or not (and I don't have a good sense of smell, even for a human). I can also tell by the texture.

That's what I find with Wellness too. One of the reasons it is now mixed with either Nature's Variety or another brand.
