Even USED DSLRs that were made in the last 3-4 years will likely CRUSH any point and shoot for pet photography. Those cameras can be picked up for maybe 250-400 depending on quality.
We're actually in the market for a new camera. I came across the Canon Powershot SX30 IS 14.1MP Digital Camera as a possible option. Is this a 'point and shoot'? If so, what would you recommend for a DSLR (I don't even know what that means - total camera newb!
) within that 500$ price range.
Great timing on this post!
